Sufi News and Events is a compilation of events sponsored by local branches of Sufi Order International, Sufi Ruhaniat International, Dances of Universal Peace, Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order and other related groups in the Denver/Boulder area. It is maintained by members of the Sufi Order International as a source of information and to foster a spirit of harmony among the various Sufi organizations in our area.
Sufi Order International and Sufi Ruhaniat International classes are based on the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan.

On April 15, 1926, Hazrat Inayat Khan gave a talk at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado.
Please join us gathering at 5 p.m. this April 15th at the historic Brown Palace Hotel’s Atrium to commemorate Hazrat Inayat Khan’s talk and his only public event in Denver. The text of the talk will be available.

UNIVERSAL WORSHIP SERVICE
The Universal Worship sema is a collaboration between the Sufi Order and the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Order. Mahmud Kabir will lead sacred chants from the Hindu and Sufi traditions. Habiba Kabir and Suhrawardi will offer ecstatic poems from the world’s religious traditions in the format of a Universal Worship service.
The sema will be held at Boulder Mennonite Church, 3910 Table Mesa Drive.

Combining kirtan with Dances of Universal Peace, Sufi zikr practice and periods of meditation and contemplation, this monthly Saturday event begins at 7:30 pm, and is led by Gayan Gregory Long and Scott Medina.
